August 14th, 2009Well, this will be the site of We’re All Connected 2.0.
Alley Properties and RHD Tire had graciously donated
their walls to my project. I hope to begin painting no later than Sept 1st.
Artprize>The Games Begin…
August 14th, 2009Well its official…I will be competing in the 1st Annual Artprize.
Erwin Erkfitz will be transforming the building facades of South Division Avenue from Cherry to Williams St.
The mural includes aerosol stencils, brush paint, screen prints, wheat pastes & sculptural elements.
This mixed-media installation will bridge a gap of street-art and the gallery. Look throughout downtown GR for the installations of We’re All Connected 2.0, with its epicenter at S. Division and Cherry.

Urban Art Workshop Summer 2009
July 18th, 2009I spent the last 8 days teaching the Urban Art Workshop for the Grand Rapids Public Library.
This was the first year for the program and I believe that it was well received.
Nearly 80 students went through the workshop ranging in age from 11-18.
Spray paint markers and concepts was the focus of the workshop and each
student was able to take home a 2×2fft creation on panel.
